Shoutout to Babs!

My sister had been in agony the past month watching visitor after visitor hold her new niece before she could get her hands on her. Now that she just had 5 fun-filled days with Ryan, she is demanding a presence on the blog. Here you go Aunt Barbara!

Barb tends to put a lot of people to sleep:)

How many people does it take to trim my fingernails?

Stylin' in my new MaryJane socks (I have them in every color thanks to Aunt Barbara!)

My favorite chair...

Not so sure how I feel about Texas, sorry dad.

4 1/2 weeks old!

So sorry for the lack of posts this past week. We were in mourning as my mother finally said goodbye after 4 weeks of staying with us. Tuesday was a sad day in the Stiff household. Last weekend we were up in the mountains for my cousin's wedding (congrats again Kacky) so my dad and sister were out here as well. Ryan LOVED all the attention she got from her Aunt and Grandma and Grandpa. The girl never touched the ground or was left unheld. Here are an assortment of pics from the last week. Enjoy!

Chillin' in my super cute outfit from Mr. & Mrs. Rutledge!

Catching a little cat nap, my life is very rough.

Grandpa thought my clothes would make a good hat and pillow.

Go ahead, bite my cheeks - you know you want to!

I can be very serious you know...

Happy Birthday dad!!!! So excited I get to try your dessert after mom does!
My adorable bloomies from my Aunt Mary Lee & Uncle Paul.

The good life - up in Beaver Creek with Grandpa.

Aunt Mary Lee gives the cutest gifts!!!

Some say I look just like dad, but at least I got mom's big feet!

Bye Grandma - I'll miss you a ton - thanks for helping out and keeping my parents sane!

Bye all! I'm a busy girl with lots of places to go and peeps to see.

We had a Friday evening visitor - Cousin Kacky from Minnesota (who is in town for her wedding - can't wait!)  She holds little Ryan like a natural - her fiance Tony will be thrilled!
Thanks for coming to see us during your busy weekend.

First Real Outing - Wash Park

We were so very excited for Ryan to have her first Washington Park (Wash Park) walk with us today. We only did a quarter lap around, which is not bad for a first-timer. Grandma Pegs, Mommy and Daddy all were happy to get some fresh air and see the beautiful park. It truly is a Denver gem. We even stopped in the garden for a few photos. Ryan loved most every minute of it and eventually fell asleep before we got back to the car. She was also really tired from playing on her new iphone, which daddy stood in line for 3 hours to obtain, just for her (what a great guy). So far she loves the new apps and the speed that 3G provides.
We also received a very nice card from Great Grandma Pegs in Dallas. "Benita" says thank you Pegs and we deeply appreciate your love and support. Big hugs and kisses to you on Coit road in Dallas! As a special thanks just for you I am including a bonus picture from years past - I know you will enjoy!!! Thank you again.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Great Friday!

Ryan continues to make new friends - Patrick and Patricia were so kind as to bring over Ryan's favorite pizza  from the Saucy Noodle  (ground Italian sausage, black olives and mushrooms), which just so happens to be Mommy's favorite as well.  Patrick sure seemed like a natural when holding our little lady - hmmmm.  Thank you to both of them for making their Friday night a "wild one" with us - we really enjoyed the food and especially the company.
Earlier that afternoon Ryan also received a very special care package from California.  Leslie's cousin Ann (loyal blog reader!!!) sent a really great book on manners for young ladies ( a lost art some would say) which makes it fun to learn how to act like a proper young woman!  Can't wait to read this at bed time - Ann you can quiz her next time you see her.  She also included a very nice hand made knitted outfit, which Ryan was dying to try on, but then fell asleep in ( see picture)  Thank you Ann for the wonderful gift.
We continue to cross our fingers that Ryan continues on her current schedule - pretty steady and not too fussy.  We love her soo much!
More soon - Grant, Leslie & Ryan

Visitors - oh my!

Today was a fun and busy one.  We welcomed not one but three friends and family over to meet our little Ryan.  First Kristi came by to say hello.  Thank you for the "super cute" (Leslie told me to type that) polka-dot jumper.  She also was kind enough to hand deliver a equally "super cute" jumper from Nicole and Danny (shout out to our friends in St. Chuck).  Later that evening our good friend Kara came by with delicious cupcakes from our favorite bakery.  (just what daddy's growing waist needs!) I am enjoying a carrot cake cupcake as I type.  Double trouble occurred when Leslie's cousin, Sydney, joined Kara and all of us here at the condo.  Thank you to Sydney for the wonderful wine, or as Ryan's mom calls it "apple juice", "milk for my cereal" or sometimes just "coffee".
Ryan is getting on a great schedule that we hope (and pray) continues.  Regardless, she is perfect and wonderful.

More tomorrow - thanks to everyone for their continued support and well wishes.

Sleeping, eating, pooping....

And that's just what Grant has been up to. Our little Ryan is 11 days old and, knock on wood, doing wonderfully. She's been sleeping decent stretches of 4-5 hours at night in order to give us all some much needed rest. Our days consist of feedings, changings, naps (for all of us), and numerous mindless TV shows - thank god for the extended cable package. Here are a few more pictures of Ryan Elizabeth. I dare you to not want to bite those precious little cheeks!

Lazy Sundays

Ryan enjoyed her first trip to the Bread Co today. Grandma and Grandpa were with us and Ryan really liked the cinnamon crunch bagel, but felt the coffee was only so/so (she takes after her mom). She didn't make a noise from start to finish - which was great. Mr. B has to head home today - it was sure great to have him out. We are holding onto Mrs. B for a few more weeks!!!
