Sing-along-at-school

Ryan had a little Christmas 'recital' of sorts at school last week. And by 'recital' of course I mean a quick 10 minute corralling of three year olds into a straight line with a few songs and bells thrown in the mix. Super cute nonetheless.

The Grinch and an expanding vocabulary....

So I suppose there is one benefit to my children being obsessed with The Grinch this holiday season and watching it no less than 1,349 times so far, besides the obvious reasons of course (educational value and diversity)....Jubilation.
Ryan now uses the word 'Jubilation' as often as she can.  I was just bringing Reese upstairs to change her shirt when Ryan hurries us along telling us we need to move faster or else 'we'll be late for the jubilation'.

Thank you Grinch.

Has anyone seen Ryan Stiff?

Clearly this sassy little lady strutting into the grocery store is not my 3 year old....
Outfit recap: red and white polka dot leggings, bright a*s yellow skirt, pink long sleeve t-shirt, yellow cardigan (but don't worry, her favorite pink cardigan was in her purse to which she demanded a sweater change at lunch), rubber boots, an orange coat, one of mom's purses and a partridge in a pear tree.

Suri's burn book

If you love celebrities, love babies and love sarcasm, you will enjoy this blog:
http://surisburnbook.tumblr.com/

My sister turned me onto it and it is hi-larious. It is a blog 'written' by Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom and Katie.  But let's be honest here, if you didn't know who I was referring to when I said 'Suri' then read no further.  You will not appreciate.

My faves: her hatred of her parents, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and the Affleck girls' wardrobe.

Hopefully you have better things to do with your time but if you're like me and you enjoy a funny distraction from time to time, check it out.

Lend a hand...

So we've been talking a lot lately about helping each other and being nice to each other; you know, versus the usual try and annihilate each other off the face of the planet.  Anyway, I overhear this conversation take place the other day in the bathroom.
Ryan:  Reese, Reese come here please.
Reese ignores
Ryan's super sweet, angelic voice (yes she does have one every now and then):  Reesey, please come here.  You wanna help me in the bathroom?
Reese wanders in
Ryan:  Reesey watch, you can help me go to the bathroom.  Wanna help?  Come on, I'm going stinky and you can wipe my bottom for me.  It'll be fun.

Oh sweet Jesus.

Christmas card chaos....

Some outtakes from the Christmas card photo shoot in the family room.
Needless to say we did not get a single one JC Penny Portrait Studio shot with hands crossed, both girls smiling, angels singing. And to top it off, guess what came tumbling down about 45 minutes after we finished...
The tree.
Awesome, right? Nobody was hurt.
Questionable Christmas cards have been ordered. A lovely glass of Malbec has been consumed. Good night all!

iPhone overload

I just realized I haven't posted in a week and I'm sure you all were suffering greatly because of it.  Grant spent a fun filled work week over in Spain so I was solo with my two babes and apparently the single parenting thing can really eat up your spare time.  A big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for a much needed and very enjoyable escape to the lake for 2 days in the midst of it all.  I finally uploaded photos from my phone yesterday and clearly I haven't done it in awhile as I had over 300 - so here are a handful.
I'll call this series 'sleeping':
Ryan's school field trip to the Farmer's Market back in October
My monkey and one of her favorite spots in all of the universe
Sisterly love
Posing
Posing x 2
Posing x 3
Reese. Eating. Surprise.
Reading sans pants. Like dad.
Reese and her backpack or "pak-pak" and she calls it
Contemplating nuclear physics
Another amazing outfit styled by Ryan
Nightly doll lineup...curfew check
Mom's desperate attempt to placate Reese long enough to cook dinner
Ryan has mastered my iPhone and takes better pictures than any of us....we'll call this simply "Jack"
Random attire....random hair....must be Sunday with dad
We'll end this post on a high note...
