First day.....recap

So one down, countless more to go.  I will recap with bullets as my little Picasso out here on the patio with me is starting to get antsy and you know paint and 3 year olds don't mix well.....

The Good
Both girls slept in
Somewhat healthy breakfast
2.5 mile walk to Bread Company for coffee and to share one bagel (budget friendly dad, don't worry) and learn about commerce and business (or so I'm justifying to myself)
Reese took a nice 90 minute morning nap
Girls both ate avocado at lunch (my highlight for the day)
Ran errands and girls weren't crazy freaks
Visited the library and checked out a few books - who knew you could renew online!!!! Technology.

Closet organization and cleaned one bathroom
Signed off on work paperwork to make it all official
Prepared dinner
Baths, books, bedtime

The Bad
One child may have rolled off the couch while fighting with the other
Who would have guessed with all the storms the Kirkwood Library Children's section is closed due to flooding (same library that just underwent a million dollar renovation) - so we were relegated to the 3 stacks of children's books/movies just off the front lobby - complete with Ryan 'shushing' all the adults she ran into.
Of all the movies to choose (and she was allowed to pick one) - she choose the Wiggles.  Ugh.
The fact that I haven't checked out a book in a library in almost 20 years.  So bad, I know.

The Ugly
Meeting a lady from work to hand off my paperwork at a nearby gas station and dragging my two kids inside to grab a bottle of wine

All in all.....a success.  Time to give it another whirl today.
