Painting rocks

We have a pile of stones randomly living in the back corner of our yard.  Basically because we pulled them from elsewhere and have no plan and/or are just too lazy to remove them altogether.   Needless to say, the girls have claimed the 'rock pile' as their own.  I had seen out there in the blogworld, a handful of ideas involving paint and rocks.  In lieu of getting too creative, I opted to just throw said stones and some paint on the girls picnic table and let them have at it.  Major success.  Our rock pile has already dwindled by half and our 'pretty painted stone pile' has multiplied.

Hard at work
Ryan....always one to offer her sister friendly advice. Or.....always one to tell Reese exactly how she should be doing it and if it doesn't suit her liking, taking things into her own hands. Depends on the way you look at it. Thank god Reese can hold her own.
This is Reese in the midst of telling me "mama! we are painting rocks!"
So don't be surprised, when we run out of rocks, if we sacrifice the exterior brick of our house for the quiet that painting brings. You gotta do what you gotta do. Screw curb appeal and the value of your home.

I'm pretty sure that face was "Mama, I want to paint rocks with Bo."
