We've had a busy (and emotional) week......mom and dad's solo trip to Colorado, the passing of a great man, Grant's birthday, some sort of bug that finally hit both girls Monday night, and a terribly heart wrenching murder/suicide of a mom and her two kids just around the block from us. Depressing post, I know. We shall focus on the good:
We went out to Colorado (just Grant and I) for a nice long weekend to hang with friends, celebrate the old man's birthday, visit with family, attend a wedding and most importantly, sneak in a visit to the orthodontist (me). For Grant's birthday we celebrated by hanging out with our friends Mark and Nichole, visiting Boulder, tubing (for the boys), farmer's market shopping (for the girls) and the viewing of the new Batman movie (note to all my readers......never EVER take a hormonally pregnant woman to see Batman...in Colorado....a week after those terrible shootings - holy, ugly crying, tear fest. Sorry Grant).

Back at Grandma and Grandpas, the girls were in heaven! I packed four days worth of outfits of which the girls wore....zero. They lived in their nightgowns and dress up clothes - sounds like perfection to me.

On a sad note, we woke up Friday morning to the heart wrenching news that the man who married us, a second father-figure to Grant and all around amazing guy had passed away. Our love, thoughts and prayers to the family of Stan Geyer (on the left):
